# Optimization Playbook

> A prioritized, concrete checklist for earning more from AdXensor — deepen demand, protect quality, climb the reputation ladder, and keep your integration honest.

Everything in the previous pages leads here. This is the operator's checklist — the specific, controllable levers that increase how much demand reaches your slots, how much each impression is worth, and how fast you get paid. They're ordered by impact.

<Info>
  **The core loop.** More eligible demand → higher auction competition → higher effective CPM. Cleaner traffic → higher reputation → your inventory valued higher when advertisers plan campaigns → a better payout tier. Optimizing AdXensor is optimizing both halves of that loop.
</Info>

## Lever 1 — Deepen the demand pool

The auction can only pick from campaigns that *clear the eligibility funnel*. Widen that funnel and more — and more valuable — ads compete for every slot.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Support multiple ad sizes per site" icon="ruler-combined">
    Ad size is a **hard filter** — a campaign with no creative for your slot's size can't compete. Sites with fewer than 2 supported sizes are flagged in your dashboard. Add more sizes to unlock more demand.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prefer standard IAB sizes" icon="crop-simple">
    Use `300x250`, `336x280`, `728x90`, `320x50`, and `300x600`. These attract the most advertiser demand **and** are the only sizes the always-fill house banner backs — so even unsold slots earn instead of going blank.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Declare your page language correctly" icon="language">
    Campaigns with no language targeting match everyone, but language-targeted campaigns only match when your page's `lang` tag matches the visitor. Make sure each page declares the correct language so you stay eligible for language-targeted demand on top of the agnostic pool.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Run more than one healthy site" icon="layer-group">
    A single active site is flagged for growth. More verified, healthy sites widen matchable inventory and raise the account-level signals that set your payout tier.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Lever 2 — Protect traffic quality

Invalid traffic is the most expensive problem you can have: it's never paid, it lowers reputation (up to −40 points), and it gates your payout tier.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Keep invalid rate low" icon="bug-slash">
    Target **≤ 2%** ("Clean"). Standard tier needs your **worst** site ≤ 20%; Trusted needs ≤ 10%. Audit any site drifting toward "Watch" (> 10%).
  </Card>

  <Card title="Keep CTR in the healthy band" icon="hand-pointer">
    Aim for **0.5%–6%**. Below 0.5% looks dead; above 6% looks like invalid clicks. Both drop you out of the healthy scoring tier.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Never incentivize clicks" icon="ban">
    No "click here," no accidental-tap layouts, no click bots. Inflated CTR doesn't just fail to pay — it actively lowers your reputation.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Place ads for real visibility" icon="eye">
    Above-the-fold, in-content placements earn genuine impressions and views. High viewability correlates with the healthy CTR and volume that lift reputation.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Warning>
  Your payout tier uses the **worst** invalid rate across **all** your sites. Don't let one neglected property drag down a whole account of clean ones — either clean it up or remove it.
</Warning>

## Lever 3 — Climb the reputation ladder

Reputation scales the audience reach and CPM an advertiser sees for your inventory when planning a campaign (a factor of score ÷ 100), and determines your payout tier. Here's the exact path up:

| Milestone | What to do | What it earns you |
| -------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Get verified** | Serve at least 1 real impression on the site | Unlocks `standard`/`trusted` eligibility; clears the "verify sites" warning |
| **Cross 1,000 impressions / 30 days** | Grow real traffic | Base score jumps to \~55 (with healthy CTR) |
| **Cross 10,000 impressions / 30 days** | Keep growing                                 | Base score \~70                                                             |
| **Cross 50,000 impressions / 30 days** | Sustained real volume                        | Top band (82–90)                                                            |
| **Hold CTR at 0.5%–6%** | Good placement, real audience | Keeps you in the *healthy* column at every band |
| **Keep invalid rate near 0**           | Traffic hygiene                              | Avoids the up-to −40 point penalty                                          |

<Tip>
  Volume and quality compound. A site with 50,000 clean impressions and a healthy CTR scores in the 80s; the *same* traffic with a 25% invalid rate loses \~10 points and can fall a whole label. Growth without hygiene leaves money on the table.
</Tip>

## Lever 4 — Reach the Trusted tier

Trusted is the best financial upgrade you can earn — a 15-day hold (vs 30), a payout minimum cut to 40%, and priority in the payout queue.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Requirement: ≥ 1 verified site" icon="circle-check">
    At least one site that has served a real impression.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Requirement: average reputation ≥ 65" icon="chart-line">
    Across your sites. Driven by volume + healthy CTR − invalid penalty (see Lever 3).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Requirement: worst invalid rate ≤ 10%" icon="bug-slash">
    Every site must stay clean, not just the average.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Requirement: 1 completed payout OR avg reputation ≥ 80" icon="trophy">
    Complete your first payout, or push average reputation to excellent — either unlocks Trusted.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Lever 5 — Keep the integration honest

The best inventory earns nothing if the impression never registers. These are the silent revenue leaks:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Confirm the impression beacon fires" icon="satellite-dish">
    Impressions are only counted (and paid) on a fired, deduplicated beacon. A mis-integrated tag that renders but never beacons loses **both** the counted impression and the CPM revenue. Verify in your browser's network tab that the impression request fires when the ad becomes visible — see [Events & Tracking](/publishers/reference/events).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use the correct Site ID and slot config" icon="id-card">
    A wrong or missing [Site ID](/publishers/site-id) can't be attributed to your account. Double-check against **My Sites → Integration** in the dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Don't block the SDK" icon="shield-halved">
    Ensure your CSP, ad-blocker test pages, or consent gates don't stop the SDK from loading or beaconing to `core.adxensor.com`. The [Troubleshooting guide](/publishers/support/troubleshooting) lists the exact CSP directives to allow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Let house fill do its job" icon="fill-drip">
    Don't hide or collapse slots that receive a house ad — house fills still earn you 50% of the house CPM. A collapsed slot earns zero.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## The one-page checklist

<Info>
  **Demand** — support ≥ 2 standard IAB sizes per site · run multiple healthy sites
  **Quality** — invalid rate ≤ 2% · CTR within 0.5%–6% · never incentivize clicks
  **Reputation** — verify every site · grow real volume past 1k → 10k → 50k / 30 days
  **Tier** — avg reputation ≥ 65, all sites ≤ 10% invalid, and complete one payout *or* reach avg reputation ≥ 80 → **Trusted**
  **Integration** — confirm the impression beacon fires · correct Site ID · don't block the SDK · don't collapse house-filled slots
